Meet Our Founder

Commercialization expertise you can trust

Grounded in decades of hands-on life sciences commercialization and a firsthand understanding of what founders face at this stage.

Christopher Wilson, founder of MedAxis AI

Christopher Wilson spent two decades inside MedTech, working across companies like Smith & Nephew, DSM, and Teleflex. From product development and market access to sales strategy and team building, he's worked across the full commercialization lifecycle.

One experience shaped everything that followed. He helped bring a breakthrough vascular positioning system to market by going deep on the clinical science, getting certified, building health economic models, and driving adoption across hospitals and health systems. Stanford Biodesign, a Healthcare MBA, and AI in Healthcare training sharpened that into a repeatable approach.

Today, Christopher leads the MedAxis AI team which includes automation engineers, an AI specialist, and operations support. Every system is built with technical depth behind it, which means founders get working infrastructure, not just slide decks.

Christopher hosts Stories in Life Sciences, a podcast where founders, scientists, and industry experts share what that journey really looks like.

Why MedAxis AI exists

Breakthrough science deserves commercial infrastructure that matches. But most early-stage life sciences teams haven't had the bandwidth to build it yet. Teams are small, the science comes first, and operational gaps grow quietly until they become urgent. Investor relationships live in someone's head, outreach is manual, and founders are told to wait until the next raise to hire for the gaps.

MedAxis was built to close that gap now. We combine deep life sciences expertise with AI, automation, and modern infrastructure to build the commercial engine that early-stage founders need but can't yet hire a full team to create. Everything we deliver is working infrastructure built for how life sciences companies actually operate.

Embedded in the ecosystem

MedAxis AI is a member of the Oregon Bioscience Incubator (OBI), part of Oregon's OTRADI network supporting life sciences innovation across the Pacific Northwest. Christopher participates in the OBI community and attends regular events with founders building early-stage biotech and MedTech companies.
